Oustanding Service

Good Morning,

I am writing to compliment the Southtown Hyundai Dealership/Service Department in Edmonton.

I will quickly give you the scenario:
While driving to Edmonton from Calgary last Wednesday evening with my husband, we had some dash lights come on(Malfunction, ABS, and ESC). This caused our car to slow down to 40km/hr on the QE II highway. We were lucky to be near an exit so pulled off and restarted the car. The "Malfunction" indicator was the only light to remain on when restarted.

We were able to continue on the highway at regular speed toward Edmonton after this.

In contacting Roadside Assistance we were given the nearest dealership's phone number(Southtown). It was 7:30PM and we did not expect anyone to answer the phone but tried anyway. We needed to get the car looked at before heading back to Calgary the next afternoon.

We left a phone message for the service coordinator and decided to stop at the dealership on our way into town. Luckily it was open and a salesman immediately offered to listen to our story to see if he could help. He couldn't, so took us to book a service appointment for the next day. Meanwhile he noticed a technician in the service bays and went to speak to him about our problem. Mike(the technician) could not have been nicer or more helpful, stating he knew exactly what the problem was(2009 Santa Fe throttle regulator??) and that there were parts in stock. The repair could be done Thursday. We booked the appointment for 7AM the following morning and our car was ready for the road by 10:30AM.

Needless to say we were greatly relieved and extremely pleased with the service we received at this dealership. Everyone, the helpful salesman, the service receptionists, Mike and Garth were terrific and made every effort to get us back on the road as soon as possible. Many thanks to them.

I hope all of your dealerships have this kind of service.......it makes buying a Hyundai worthwhile!!!!

Thanks again to those who assisted us,
Laurie and Dean Miller
